Questions from abroad
Can we marry legally in France as foreigners?
Most international couples do the paperwork at home and hold a symbolic ceremony here. I photograph the day identically either way.
How do you work with our planner?
I build the photography timeline with your planner and venue. No planner yet? I will introduce you to two or three I trust.
How does booking work from another country?
A 50% deposit holds your date, the balance falls due before the wedding. Bank transfer or PayPal, written agreement in English, everything else over video calls.
Do you travel outside France?
Yes. Travel anywhere in France is included in both collections, and The Provence Weekend covers travel anywhere in Europe. Further afield is quoted up front, flights and accommodation itemised.
When do we see the photographs?
A preview within 72 hours, usually while your guests are still in the country. The full private gallery within four weeks.
What exactly do you photograph across the weekend?
The wedding day is always included: unlimited hours, first light to last dance, no clock and no shot list read aloud. Two moments can be added around it, and most couples flying their guests in take both. The evening before, welcome dinner or rehearsal, catches the first hugs when everyone finally lands. The morning after is brunch, or half an hour with just the two of you in the morning light. If you only want the wedding day, say so in your enquiry and I will price it that way.
What is included in every collection?
Both collections include the wedding day in full, with unlimited hours, a 35mm film pack of three rolls developed and scanned, and a private high resolution gallery. The Provence Weekend adds the evening before, the morning after and a pre-wedding session. Travel is included in both, France for the first and all of Europe for the second, with no mileage or accommodation line added later. A hand bound album is available with either, quoted separately.
How does it work, from the first email to the gallery?
Four steps. First, send me your date, your venue and roughly what you are imagining, and I reply with the collections and what they cost. Second, we spend half an hour on video at an hour that suits your time zone, so you see who you would be spending three days with. Third, a written agreement in English and a 50% deposit hold the date, and from there I build the photography timeline with your planner and your venue. Fourth, the photographs: a preview within 72 hours, while your guests are still in the country, and the full private gallery within four weeks.
